Peter and the Starcatcher

A play by Rick Elice

Grants Pass High School Theatre Department presents their Spring play: "Peter and the Starcatcher," playing for two weekends, March 10th-19th, at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center.

Based on the best-selling novel, "Peter and the Starcatcher" uses ingenious stagecraft and imagination to tell the story of the "boy who wouldn't grow up." The show features a cast of 20 and a crew of 20, all students from Grants Pass High School.

"Peter and the Starcatcher" follows a young orphan and his mates who are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by an evil King. On board, they know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captain’s cabin, which contains a precious, otherworldly cargo. While at sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training who realizes that the trunk’s precious cargo is a celestial substance so powerful that it must never fall into the wrong hands. When the ship is taken over by pirates, led by the fearsome Black Stache, the journey quickly becomes a thrilling adventure. In the end, the young orphan finds a new adventure, a new home, and a new name: Peter Pan.

"Peter and the Starcatcher" is Co-Directed by Julia Cuppy and Jaese Lecuyer, Music Directed by Jamie Banister. Creative team members include Tianna Eddy as Assistant Producer, Wayd Drake as Technical Director and Set Designer, Connor Pylant as Lighting Designer, Ruth Sears as Costume Designer, Ryan Kelley as Sound Designer, Deenie Bulyalert as Assistant Director, and Rose Chatfield as Stage Manager.

The show plays March 10th-19th at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $15 for Adults and $10 for Students & Seniors, all general seating. Tickets and more information is available at www.GPHSTheatre.com
